what you need to know
Everything you need to know about Freshers Festival – from what to expect to how to attend.
Freshers Festival is the UK’s biggest free student lifestyle experience, blending live expos in major cities with a year‑round digital hub packed full of giveaways, jobs, discounts and community events. Think of it as your one‑stop launchpad for student life — online and IRL.
Freshers Festival isn’t just for “freshers”, our student events are open to anyone aged 17+ in further or higher education. This includes freshers, returning students, post‑grads, apprentices, and college students.
Absolutely nothing. Entry to all Freshers Festival live shows and the digital community is 100 % free—just register for a ticket so we can scan you in and send your perks.
Expect hundreds of brands handing out freebies and discounts, live music and DJ sets, food stalls, careers and wellbeing zones, brand showcases, VR experiences, and lots of surprises. Come hungry and leave with a tote full of loot.
Freshers Festival Glasgow 2026 – 12th September 2026
Freshers Festival London 2026 – 19th September 2026
Freshers Festival Manchester 2026 – 26th September 2026
Freshers Festival isn’t tied to any one campus – it’s a city‑wide celebration that brings together all local colleges and unis under one (very lively) roof. Because we operate independently, we can invite major national brands, indie start‑ups, street‑food heroes and entertainment that individual student unions often can’t squeeze into their own fairs. The result: more freebies, more career and lifestyle opportunities, and a party vibe that feels less “orientation week” and more “mini‑music‑festival.”
You can expect a huge mix of amazing brands at Freshers Festival! Previous partners have included major names like Google, Amazon, Nike, PureGym, Oh Polly, LNER, IRN-BRU, Tanologist, Costa, Nando’s, Disney, Meta, and Ray-Ban – plus lots of local, city-specific brands and businesses bringing freebies, discounts, and exclusive offers just for students.
While our Freshers Festivals are the main event, we’re more than just a fair organiser. Throughout the year, we run freebie drops and student giveaways, a weekly email newsletter for all students across the UK, brand activations and on-campus experiences, virtual events and social livestreams as well as guides, content advice to help you have a more fun and successful time while studying.
