Tucked away in a basement just off Sauchiehall Street, the Flying Duck dishes out all the good times for anybody who is alternative without being “alternative”.
A cafe bar in the day serving up a fully tasty, fully vegan menu, we become a delightful boozer and club in the evening time. We even dish up tasty bar snacks right up until 10pm. Kitted out like inside of a flat rather than your average slick city centre hot spot, The Duck is famed for its wide range of alternative events and eclectic club nights. It’s better than your house really.The lovable Kitchen Bar offers up a home away from home with cheap drinks, board games, and a Mega Drive (games include the classic Streets of Rage, Mortal Kombat, Alex The Kid, Sonic The Hedgehog…).
We are also home to some of the best club nights in Glasgow with rare gems such as Houndin’ The Streets, Singles Night, Common People, and The Freakbeats Club. As a regular venue for live acts and the infamous Pin Up Nights, Superfly and Lock Up Your Daughters we’ve taken a very particular place in Glasgow’s music and club scene.
With a range of events during the week such as our Pub Quiz on a Monday, live music or even the All The Young Nudes life drawing club there’s always something going on to keep those with dull friends or short attention spans entertained.
